Boxed Set, Vol. II: "It's a Cookbook...A Cookbook!!"
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Me, I'm seeing a whole opera cycle, like the Ring of the Nibelung or something.
24 hours of operatic toaster music!
Also, this just in, Scifi channel to program more science fiction - revolutionary!!
With only a half dozen exceptions in my 40-plus years [in Hollywood], I've never allowed anyone else to stir my porridge. And as far as 'Repent, Harlequin!' is concerned, well, even I consider this gig to be a ball-buster. I wouldn't trust it to anyone else.
Is it just me? or is this porny?
I'm not sure about the porniness, I'm too busy squeeing over "'Repent, Harlequin!' Said the TicktockMan" being one screen. I love it with an unholy love beyond reason.
Why am aI not working? Instead, I'm reading BSG trivia: [link]
- Commander Adama has a shaving mirror in his cabin. This mirror is made by IKEA, and is a model called called "Frack", which is the primary vulgarity in the Battlestar Galactica universe.
- In episode #1.1, "33", the pilots in the briefing room touch a picture of a man looking out at the destruction of his city. Although not explained in the episode that aired, the picture was introduced in a scene cut from the episode where it was presented to President Roslin (Mary McDonnell). It was supposed to have been taken on the roof of the capitol building in Aerilon City during the Cylon attack. Executive Producer Ronald D. Moore said that the picture was inspired by the famous picture of the fireman raising the American flag at the World Trade Center site in New York City following the terrorist attacks on the USA of 11 September 2001.
- The telephone handset used on the bridge of the Galactica is a US Army issues field telephone used since the Korean War, known as the TA-1.
I want a Frack mirror....
Filming "Repent, Harlequin". The mind reels.
"Repent, Harlequin"! Oooooooooh. I will be grinning and silently squeeing all day on the basis of this.
Is it the total sign of either geekdom or your hooked when you find yourself saying frak?
I think the old man picture is very, very cool. Very touching.
Why can't Sam push her own wheely thing? Doesn't look that heavy.
Also, "Dig up everything you can on this town in Virginia?" Isn't that something they have people for? Like, not highly paid highly specialized archeologists on the flagship SG team?
(Also, Teal'c, maybe you could have mentioned that beforehand? And pretty Jaffa lady!)
