Rodney is indeed being written for cheap laughs; I'm glad they at least mentioned the whole business of the nuclear bomb and the sun corona, but to sell him as freaking out about the sunlight and not freaking out about all the nuclear radiation in the air above Atlantis...

Mind you, he does get to be pretty heroic too. As well as screaming like a girl. And I continue to be impressed that he seems to hit things he aims at. Very impressive, for a scientist. I don't normally hit things I aim at.

I hope Teyla gets something interesting to do soon. They've got all these interesting men running around, and the women... aren't, so much.
And I'm still bitter that SG-1's PTB seem to think that two strong female characters are too much for their show.
