A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
I have just been telling people on my flist that tried the show in the middle or just caught random eps that this really is a show that needs to be seen from the beginning. it's too much of a character driven show to just jump feet first into the show in the middle or really even just a couple of eps in.
the pilot sets everything up. 2 and 3 are "can miss". 4 is fantastic if only for the flashbacks of the way things were. etcetcetc.
so seriously...if you only caught random episodes here and there and didn't find yourself sucked in, find some way to see it from the beginning. it really is hard for me to believe that people who enjoy the same tv i enjoy don't like this show. my best friend wouldn't watch it for the longest time because she had caught bits and pieces of an earlier ep and "couldn't stand the voiceovers". i kept at her because i knew this was her kind of show. she gave in a couple of months ago and is now a huge fangirl.
love this show. could ramble about it forever and a day.
Oh I'll probably give in and watch VM in a big old holiday marathon someday. Right now though, it is SciFi Friday.
Okay, Daniel's philosophical incoherence in the face of the Ori (or however you spell it) is really starting to get on my nerves.
SG-1 wasn't holding my interest tonight. I was easily distracted by so many distracting things. It makes me sad that the show wasn't demanding my focus and attention. I'll give it a try on the next showing.
Here's hoping that SGA does a better job.
If nopthing else, Ronan demands my attention. JM is a cutie.
SG-1 wasn't holding my interest tonight.
I gotta to say, when Claudia Black in a skimpy outfit can't keep me from turning off the TV, the rest of the ep is pretty boring.
SG-1 was way too heavy-handed for my liking. Although Vala, as usual, cracked me up.
Why does the Chief on the penal colony in SGA look so familiar? He reminds me of Kronos (?Cronos) from Highlander. I like him. He's snarky and ruthless.
Trial type episodes are just boring. . .
Funny how targeting systems never seem to improve in the future.
