A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

TV Sqad piece about the move.
I can't remember the details, and my Googling abilities seem to have left me, but there will be a "switch off" date when everything will go from analog to digital.
You mean that there will be no more standard cable?
Joss goes all fanboy over Veronica Mars
Best. Show. Ever. Seriously, I've never gotten more wrapped up in a show I wasn't making, and maybe even more than those. Crazy crisp dialogue. Incredibly tight plotting. Big emotion, I mean BIG, and charsimatic actors and I was just DYING from the mystery and the relationships and PAIN, this show knows from pain and no, I don't care, laugh all you want, I had to share this. These guys know what they're doing on a level that intimidates me.
He's an adorable dork and I'd totally pinch his cheeks if he were standing next to me.
I found an article from USA Today that explains it. (Stupid me, I was using yahoo not google before).
Last night, we were watching a disc of Season 1 Deadwood (really good show, isn't it? shrift, you're going to have to pick this up at some point so you can write me Seth/Sol), and husband said, "Hey, that's Veronica Mars."
And it actually was. It's a show full of wonderful actors, and she really held her own.
I don't think I've ever seen Joss be SUCH a fanboy before. I'm sure he has, but I can't remember (except maybe over the cast of Firefly).

But I think that's just broadcast TV. The change is being forced by the FCC. I don't think that cable is required to switch over to digital (although they might do so on their own).
It sounds like Comcast in my town has a bunch more channels non-digital than elsewhere, but then Somerville is a two-cable-system town (RCN is the competitor) so that may affect what they offer and how they offer it.
At any rate, I've got digital, as part of my cable/internet package, but this is going to hurt a number of fans that I know....
OTOH, maybe I can get them to come over to my house for Friday night viewings.... ::plots::
