Maybe we'll get to see Sam's reaction to Vala. Could be priceless. Jack's would have been even better.

I can imagine Jack's pretty clearly, but I'd be very interested to see Sam work with her. I don't think she'd have much patience with her, but... well.
She would totally want to team up with Daniel RE OMG crazy woman!
My impression has been that women (particularly serious, hardworking women) are generally a LOT less tolerant of other women from the charming flirty troublemaker mold than even guys who feel no attraction to said troublemakers. At her first meeting with Sam this season Vala better catch a go'auld just before it can take her over or something similarly gratitude-generating.

yep. cause you can't help but feel a little irritated that you got where you are by hard work and brains, and she got where she is because her eyeshadow matches her lipstick.
It isn't as if Vala's seductress act is working well on the guys, either.
She seems to enjoy trying, tho.
There's a corrollary for guys with the "good old boy" type who golfs and martini lunches his way to business success, but I don't think it's nearly as widespread a thing.
I did hear DJs talking yesterday about a study that found women who wear revealing clothing and give neck massages at work are far less likely to be promoted than those who rely on their work record. There may be a lower glass ceiling for the office flirt based on the lack of respect such behavior from both genders, even if one finds the attention appealing in a personal sense.
I read an essay that said the odd/unique thing about Marilyn Monroe was not that she was a sexpot, but that she was a sexpot women didn't resent. It's tricky playing the ditzy blonde without making other women hate you. Goldie Hawn and Drew Barrymore seem to have pulled it off successfully.

It's not working to the extent that she would like, but tell me with a straight face that Cameron or Gen. Baker Boy would have tolerated for a lengthy period the presence of a male alien that caused that much trouble and kept popping back up to flirt with Sam or Lexa's character amid the troublemaking.
How early did she put the bracelets on? I think that's the only pretext keeping her there.
