"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

It was just so difficult to watch Jonas and not see him as Not!Daniel, I found. 'Specially since the transition was so abrupt a geek swap. (not that either of them have ever looked particularly geeky, for that matter.)

So, is there a Season 2 of Veronica Mars? Am I right in understanding it's moving to another channel? Or is it cancelled? Or...what's the what?

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Yes, I bet it was a shock, but now in retrospect, he was a good character and well played. Too bad he didn't get the respect he deserved. And I love Daniel, too, but I didn't start seriously watching until the whole switch/switch back thing was over.

eta: yes, there will be a second VM season starting this fall.

Fay, backflung with the answer.

I liked Jonas, but i did feel like they were forcing him on us with Shanks' departure.

Which reminds me, why did Shanks leave for a season. Was he written off because the writers wanted to try something really dramatic? Or did he want off for some reason?

from what i can remember he wanted to try other things. i don't think he ever really did though. the fandom went a bit crazy(as fandoms are wont to do) when he left and he came back for one or two eps and then just decided to come back full time. whether or not (a) crazy fan(s) "coerced" him or not is unclear.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Fay, Veronica Mars is not cancelled, and is not moving to another channel. The second season hasn't started yet.

I know not Lost, but I'm kind of in awe of the excellent button-pushing job they're doing on me with Logan...."OMG. Break him some more. It's so PRETTY."

You're going to have to trust me when I say when this man and this man have a torture scene. It is True Love (in a fantastically fucked up way).

"baby, i'm tied to a tree in a jungle of mystery. i was just tortured by a damn spinal surgeon and a genuine Iraqi. of course, i'm serious."

favorite Lost scene EVER!

Oh, lordie, the SDJ people. ::hides under the bed::

I'm sorry, when the actor wants to leave, you gotta let him go. Really.

Not that his career was so fabulous afterwards...

whether or not (a) crazy fan(s) "coerced" him or not is unclear.

I seriously doubt that the crazy fans directly influenced Shanks' return, but they may have had a hand in influencing the producers to back a truck full of money up to his door once the relative popularity of Nemec's character became apparent.
