I said I'm sorry. I've made mistakes, but fear was never one of them.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

For the total of the series, we're on at least AU^3 (adding in 2010), but, for Mobeus, yeah, that sounds right.

The really interesting thing, to me, is that they've aknowledged that other things have changed (fish in Jack's lake).

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

People who have that encyclopedic knowledge of the X-Files: tzikeh is looking for help identifying episodes here.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

And Katie, I'm sorry if I came off snippy. It wasn't the intent. (Rodney is mine, mine, mine, do you hear me, mine.)

Oh, you weren't the person being nutty in that conversation. No worries.

So who are the guys currently on the show? Au^2?

Well, the writers are all No No, It Was A Loop, No One Died. (Or one of them was, anyway.) If you follow the time travel rules they set out in the show, though, the guys currently on the show are indeed an AU version of the team. And... I could go through that argument but frankly it probably isn't worth it unless you're desperate to know.

Unlike Dawn, I'm pretty sure we aren't meant to assume that anything from the first eight season has changed, though.

I agree. The current version are AU, but it's an AU that is meant to be and shown to be indistinguishable from the original. The only difference is that somewhere in the desert in Egypt are the graves of two Jacks, two Sams, and two Teal'cs, and one Daniel Jackson.

And that there was an Egyptian tomb not excavated until 2005 that held a ZPM and a videocamera for five thousand years without anything being damaged. Or, apparently, looted.

If I only had a brain...

What happened to the other Daniel Jackson?

He was captured and tortured by Apophis, turned into a Goa'uld, and killed by Teal'c.

Ah. Bad Daniel, no grave for him.

No, and he was on Chulak at the time, so nobody would bother. He did, however, hold out long enough against torture to inspire AU!Teal'c to revolt against Apophis.

Poor Dorkverse!Daniel, with his bad hair. Still better than Dorkverse!Sam, who apparently lost all self-confidence and fashion sense in the change. Plus, she picked up twitches. ::shudders::

She also talked in a voice not unlike Wimpy's from the old Popeye cartoons.

Note to slash fans: tonight is the night Atlantis does the big McKay/Beckett kiss stunt. should be good for a laugh.

Also, show writer Martin Gero said in an interview:

"My favorite episode so far this season is 'Duet' and David and Paul have LOTS of scenes together. (It's as close to a Beckett / McKay episode as you're going to get for the first part of Season Two.) I hope you'll like it."

bwah, Matt. Gotta love those qualifiers. But really, don't they know the true OTP is McKay/Sheppard? Even I see that.

I hope we get more Zelenka tonight.
