Boxed Set, Vol. II: "It's a Cookbook...A Cookbook!!"
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Is "Won't be Fooled Again" an episode that can be skipped over, or is it something I should just sort of say "here dad watch this sometime."

It's a pretty funny episode, and the high heels on Crais are more random than anything else. However, S&M Rygel is a bit disturbing (although also funny IMO). It's worth it watching for Stud Pilot Race D'Argo and the Pilot/Scorpy jazz combo alone, but YFunnyMV.
I love "Won't Get Fooled Again", but then, I'm a sucker for a butch cop in fetching red pumps.
I've seen Won't Get Fooled Again and think it's a great episode -- really twisted but great. However I really don't want to watch S&M Rygel with my father. So if it doesn't add anything to the overall series I'd rather skip it.

Is that really worse than all the vomiting, or the muppet sex?
Which reminds me, I think you can definitely skip COUP BY CLAM.
Funny, while live actors in S&M gear might make me slightly uncomfortable about watching with the folks, I'd have no problem watching the Muppet version with them.
I found Won't Get Fooled Again annoying, because it had no subtlety. Also, because, as methods of interrogation go, scrambled-eggs Freudian id is an incredibly stupid method.
It's a useful episode in a lot of ways, and some of the imagery is entertaining, but it's like sitting 2 inches away from the television and being able to count the pixels -- in the long term, not a satisfying experience.
If it were Mom, I'd have no problem at all.
However, this is my dad. We don't really have a close relationship...he's extremely conservative and we clash on that. Several years ago I made the mistake of giving him a copy of "A River Runs through it" (the book), I didn't read it before hand and when I asked him about it he told me "it was okay except for all the whoring."
Muppet sex I could handle -- they are muppets. But S&M gear I can't watch with dad. It squicks me out too bad.
Wow. Can't picture my dad saying "whoring". Well, unless he was quoting or something.
