Boxed Set, Vol. II: "It's a Cookbook...A Cookbook!!"

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Or the part where Clark turned evil and suggested that he and Lex run off to Metropolis and live in the penthouse together?

Isn't that just adorable?

And, damn, RedKryptonite!Clark....just, damn.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

or when Clark got all jealous and bitchy when Lex came to his party with a girl?

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

And the bit in Club Zero where Clark smashed in the door of the disused club and Tom Welling inadvertently yelled "Clex!"

Good times, good times.

there's a reason that there's so much smallville slash-- it practically writes itself!!

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Seeing the Aquarium episodes out of order blinded me to the slash until I saw the one with the force field thingy in reruns. Suddenly all the bickering and squabbling between the two took on a whole new vibe. But it's also there pretty strongly (at least on McKay's part) in "Sanctuary."

They were terribly cute with the forcefield. Hell, they're just terribly cute point blank.

....I'm finding myself thinking, though, that SG1 and SGA are very very close to being Wormhole Extreme.

(And I think I need to buy the Wormhole Extreme patch that I found on ebay...)

All is well that ends in pizza.

Then there's the occasional Weir/McKay...

Zelenka! Finally, Zelenka! And, man, I'm so chuffed about a Czech character cropping up. And speaking Czech! Yay for that!

Bates is very unlikeable, isn't he? And Arsey!Science!Guy with the plait.

It strikes me that maybe they were going for a sort of Sigourney Weaver vibe with their casting of Weir.

I still think I like Jessica Steen better, in part because TH's Weir is so... uncertain in many ways. Although she does do a marvelous slapdown of Kavanagh (Arsey!Science!Guy, Fay).

It was a good slapdown. That scene (in, er, GiantPlasticBugChowsDownOnShepAndTheyGetStuckInTheGate episode) really punched my teacher buttons.

But I'm a lot more DoNotFuckWithMe when my authority is challenged. I mean, in stuff where I'm not AuthorityChick, I'm very placid about taking a back seat and doing what I'm told, but if it's my thing, my area of responsibility and expertise, 'specially if I'm being patronised by a bloke - wow, I am an unpleasant short woman.
