I still think I like Jessica Steen better, in part because TH's Weir is so... uncertain in many ways. Although she does do a marvelous slapdown of Kavanagh (Arsey!Science!Guy, Fay).

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
It was a good slapdown. That scene (in, er, GiantPlasticBugChowsDownOnShepAndTheyGetStuckInTheGate episode) really punched my teacher buttons.
But I'm a lot more DoNotFuckWithMe when my authority is challenged. I mean, in stuff where I'm not AuthorityChick, I'm very placid about taking a back seat and doing what I'm told, but if it's my thing, my area of responsibility and expertise, 'specially if I'm being patronised by a bloke - wow, I am an unpleasant short woman.
I didn't see the Sheppard/McKay ho!yay (ha ha that rhymed) until "Underground" (the one with the math bonding ). There was an echo of that (complete with the long pregnant look) in this last episode as well, with the throwaway chess bit . Someone said over on prime_not_prime (LJ community for Atlantis discussion of a slashy bent) that the Weir/Sheppard in the premiere was almost the subtext compared to the McKay/Sheppard text. I wouldn't go that far, but I do think they're being remarkably restrained with the Weir/Sheppard - on any other show there would have been entire episodes devoted to THEIRLOVEISSOPURE unrequited wacky misunderstanding B/S.
I don't watch Smallville so I can't compare it to Clex but I did think that Angel/Lindsey was so obvious that it practically smacked one in the face - McKay/Sheppard is nowhere near that blatant but I do think the hints are there for those that are open to the possibility.
re: 4400 - Has anyone noticed how that new chick, Alonna (what's her face actress name), is a dead ringer for Catherine Zeta-Jones? The BF remarked that he kept expecting her to break into shills for T-mobile.
I've unsubscribed from this thread, so apologies if this has already been linked, but here is a look at the new Doctor Who.
OMG! I just got home from work and turned on SciFi as a matter of routine and there on my very home screen was Firefly! I had forgot that this was happening. Shiny.
God, I'm so tired of Jaffa politics. Is it just me?
Not just you.
I am so over the Jaffa.
OTOH, now it appears that the next group of mythological beings Earth has to fight are the frelling fallen angels. Wanna bet one is named Lucifer?
How can she be back? She hasn't left! I'm starting to think maybe they legally changed her name to Amanda Tapping so they wouldn't have to redo the credits.
How can she be back? She hasn't left!
I was wondering the same thing.
