A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

We get to see the Unfortunate Squishing Incident in Gamekeeper, which is an early S2 episode. And I have to say, I'm pretty much completely with Daniel on this one; do not stand under the multi-ton rock while it is being lowered. Daniel's lack of self-preservation instincts is clearly genetic. (And you know it really is kind of funny, in an awful way. He was orphaned by a museum display, people.)
If you want more Poor Wee Daniel, you go to Crystal Skull, in which you meet the Grandfather Who Didn't Want Him and refused custody. (Meanie.)

The fact that we kept getting to see the squishage over and over and over again also added to the unintentional funny. It was like Groundhog Day w/ archaeologists.
Also, the actor who played Daniel's father played a goa'uld in another episode, right?
Yeah, he plays Seth in, um, Seth, natch. Corby wrote a creepy little story about that: Paternity Test.

::blows nose::
POOR wee scone!
But then they are Reconciled! Um, briefly. Until Grandpa runs off to commune with giant invisible aliens. (No, really. This is also genetic.)
!!!!
Some people just have no luck at all.
Everyone thought Grandfather was insane becuase of these visions he had or maybe he said he went to a certain place and there were giant aliens. There was a Crystal Skull involved. So Daniel hadn't talked to him in years.
Then SG1 goes through the gate to some caverny place with a Crystal Skull, which Daniel touches and he ends up invisible. No one can see him even though he tries to interact with them.
Somehow SG1 goes off to Grandfather -- who can see Daniel!! So Daniel tries to communicate with the team vis Grandfather, they don't buy it right away, but Daniel tells Grandfather stuff and SG believes him (yay!)
Then they go back through the gate to the planet and Daniel becomes revisible and the giant aliens recognize Grandfather so he stays.
Or maybe none of them coud go back unless he or Daniel stayed.
The Death by Museum Display just kills me. So funny.
No, I think Grandpa wanted to stay.
Kind of weird that we never, ever saw or heard about those aliens again, isn't it?
To be fair about Daniel's parents, it was on the order of guiding a beam into place. You don't not stand under it because the chain, which is supposed to be mega strong and certified not to break, might have a weak link. Else we should never lower heavy things at all.
