Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

No, I think Grandpa wanted to stay.

Kind of weird that we never, ever saw or heard about those aliens again, isn't it?

To be fair about Daniel's parents, it was on the order of guiding a beam into place. You don't not stand under it because the chain, which is supposed to be mega strong and certified not to break, might have a weak link. Else we should never lower heavy things at all.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

The one thing that bugged me about The Gamekeeper is what they chose for the traumatic event that Jack had to replay over and over again. I mean, if we're going to associate Jack with a hellaciously traumatic event that he'd love to put right, why not Charlie?

Ah yes, but that actually would have had a straightforward fix.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Oh, re: commercial for Season 1 BSG DVDs about to go on sale in the US. The commercial said this will be the British version? What's different (besides the different opening music)?

Thrive to spite them

I'm finally watching Sci Fi Friday. Right now I'm not too far into SG1, they've found the treasure and Daniel's read the story.

I like Jack, I really do, but I was thrilled when Daniel said "You know what this means" and Mitchell told him what it meant! Jack's playing dumb in those situations was really starting to get to me.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I loved the asides, "I read the file."

"In the file."

"Didn't read that part."

Dunno if this is really news anymore but....

SCI FI Friday Bows Score High

The July 15 "SCI FI Fridays" season premieres of the SCI FI Channel original series Battlestar Galactica, Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis led the network to the top ratings of the night on basic cable among adults 18-49 and 25-54, the channel announced.

The second-season premiere of Galactica was the number-one program on television, including broadcast and cable, among men aged 25-54 and 18-49.

Stargate SG-1 kicked off its record ninth original season with a 2.1 household rating (2.6 million viewers). That was 5 percent higher in household ratings than its January premiere, 6 percent higher among adults aged 25-54 and 8 percent higher among adults aged 18-49.

Stargate Atlantis launched into its sophomore season with a 2.2 rating (2.8 million viewers), a 6 percent ratings increase over January, a 6 percent increase among adults, an 8 percent bump among adults aged 25-54 and an 11 percent hike among adults aged 18-49.

Battlestar Galactica began its second season with its highest-rated episode to date, a 2.6 household rating (3.1 million viewers).

Yay.

Also, there is an almost impossible to avoid spoiler for BSG episode 10 (spoiler from the creators and the SciFi website). Not a big deal I suppose, as the spoiler is just what the premise is for that episode, but....

Anyway, it sounds cool.
