Boxed Set, Vol. II: "It's a Cookbook...A Cookbook!!"

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I couldn't watch the special. Too much spoilers. Which is sad, because I missed the discussion of boykissing.

Edit: Also, Jamie Bamber w/accent? HAWT. Must move Hornblower up in the queue.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

The accent freaked me out, man. He doesn't sound like that! He doesn't, he doesn't!

I will say, this is the first one of these ever where I did not suspect that Michael Shanks was on something illegal.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Bwah, Katie.

There were spoilers, Dana, although they all looked fairly early in the season, FWIW.

Claudia, though: OMG I cannot wait. Is it a spoiler to say she's in fishnets at some point? And pigtails?

There was a fabulous bit where MS was in a space suit, and Ben Browder came up and stuck his head into the back of the suit, just goofing on him. So cute!

Is it Friday yet?

... what about now?

(actually I won't get to see it until Sunday night, and that's only if I'm really lucky, sigh)

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

I'd share my ice cream with David Hewlett.

YES! This would be a good thing. Two great tastes that taste great together, type of deal.

I read about the whitefont in the article, but I am foamingly envious of those of y'all that got to see the SciFi show thingy.

And, yes. Must go back to Britain to purchase: Stargate Atlantis, BSG Miniseries*, Hornblower.

*I'm still not over the intial WTF of the first ep of Season 1 of BSG, with the whole 'Previously on BSG' thing. Flatmate and I were baffled until I raced onto the 'net and discovered the existence of the miniseries. Much grumping.

"Either it's murder, or this library has a very strict overdue policy."

Because I'm sure Teal'c doesn't spell his name with an apostrophe

Teal:c. See, no apostrophe.

I don't like Stargate -- I think -- but with ben and Claudia, I believe I must watch.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I hadn't realized it was Helfer in that Farrah Fawcett bio-movie. She was really note-perfect in that, and so different from Six, too! She's not going to be a one-trick pony in her acting career, methinks.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

a good BSG article and a discussion of how SF gets no respect.

And they quote Tim, too! (The same quote every other article on earth's been using since The Inside premiered! But still.)

Also, Jamie Bamber w/accent? HAWT.

HELL yeah.

Art Crawl!!!

Ha! That's Jamie's natural accent.

I missed the first say 8-10 minutes of the special but really enjoyed the rest of it.

ION, I was notified that Cleopatra 2525 is going to be out on DVD next Tuesday.

If I only had a brain...

I liked Claudia Black blocking out a scene and realizing she didn't have the gun she was supposed to have, so shooting her antagonist with two shoulder isolations. "Bang, bang!"

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Helfer was also on an original recipe CSI. It took a minute for me to realize why she looked so familiar. Cut tagged for the squeamish: She was the supermodel found dead in a shopping cart--a rat climbed out of the body's mouth. Shudder.
