Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Insane? Why?

Art Crawl!!!

Well, in an obsessive maniacal religious kind of way.

If there was no religion in her attempts to control and overthrow, would she still be insane? If her religion is actually 100% true, is she still insane?

She seems to know more than everyone else with a voice, and is adept at getting what she wants, in a very conscious and deliberate way.

But she doesn't seem crazy to me.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Out of interest, ita, what about her pings you as sexy? I'm trying to figure out why I really don't find her sexy.

She's lithe, predatorial, knows more than the people around her, graceful, feline, strong, manipulative, and not actually in my life. Which is on top of the good body/face thing. Her speaking voice coils around everything -- each word, your throat.

She's a thinly veiled menace, but gentle up until it's too late. Not soft -- but gentle.

Huh. You make her sound hella sexy.

I think maybe it's just that the Playboy Bunny drag jars for me, and undermines the fact that she's all Sigourney-in-Alien-4. I think she's interesting, and scary, and all that good stuff. Hmm.

By and large, though, isn't she still mostly in seduction mode?

I think she actually passed seduction a long time ago. He's seduced. But, yeah, she still has sex with him, and sure it's a weapon in the arsenal. I also think they'd have us believe she has (whatever passes for it in the Cylon mind) a personal interest in him - she has demonstrated displeasure with his attraction to Starbuck. 'Course, that could be for any number of reasons.

But in the end, no, I don't think sexual seduction is primarily what she's using to drive him to do what she wants anymore. I think he's driven by fear and his Chosen One Complex, and probably a bit of just... curiosity. None of which, to my mind, are part of the sexpot thing. And, I mean, I'm not sure threatening someone with death is any better than seducing them. If you're following the "How to Win Minions and Influence Evildoers" handbook, it's probably an ends justify the means, so whatever works kind of thing.

She hones in on the most expediently exploited weaknesses, which is what she needs to do to get her wish list filled.

I'm still appalled by the orange thing Katee Sackhoff is wearing. Oy.

It charms me to see her look both girly & dorky.
