I saw teh pilot for Global Frequency. That was pretty damned cool. Also? Michelle Forbes. Gah. She's so great.
Boxed Set, Vol. II: "It's a Cookbook...A Cookbook!!"
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
I love this and its Minearity.
The show format beautifully leant itself to actual, almost unheard of suspene. I could kill anyone, at any time, and other experts would just step in. It makes a nice tool for keeping your actors in line. "No, fine, go back to your trailer. I've got every character on the show's death scene pre-written and waiting."
If anyone is still having problems with the GF torrent, this one worked with non-UDP capable client.
The GF pilot was really cool, and Michelle Forbes kicks ass, as she always does. Stoopid WB.
There should be a fan campaign to get them to reconsider...
Just kidding...
Re: Doctor Who
Now, that's an asspull.
Technically, not an asspull, because they've been foreshadowing with the "bad wolf" thing the whole series.
In any event, asspulls are par for the course on Doctor Who. Russell T Davies is just trying to stick to the series' formalisms. The Bad wolf thing is a lampshade hanging.
I am shocked at how ecstatic I felt just from the background hum on the ship at the end. The number of little things in the episode sold me.
I thought ita was referring to the appearance of Captain Jack's gun. Which was a total asspull. I did love him with the Trinny and Susannah-bots. Captain Jack has totally grown on me. I don't know if he'll survive the series though.
On edit: according to Doctor Who Confidential (which is on BBC3 just after the show is on BBC1), a shot of Captain Jack's bum from behind after he's been defabricated was the ONLY THING in the entire series which the BBC refused to show. Damn.
Oh, yeah. Duh.
Odd, Tom, that you weren't as fixated on the idea of Captain Jack's ass as I was, or as Fiona.
Or perhaps not at all.
I should be grabbing these confidentials, shouldn't I? I wonder if they'd be on a DVD release.
I love everyone on that show right now, which is weird, because I'd not expected to love a third wheel. Maybe the HoYay helps.
Okay, maybe not maybe.
