Y'all see the man hanging out of the spaceship with the really big gun? Now I'm not saying you weren't easy to find. It was kinda out of our way, and he didn't want to come in the first place. Man's lookin' to kill some folk. So really it's his will y'all should worry about thwarting.

Art Crawl!!!

Okay, I was actually able to see the promos today.

Umm, I'm pretty sure that the scene where Starbuck is aiming at somebody and then is prevented from shooting was already aired -- she's aiming at Boomer and Helo prevents her from shooting Boomer and says, "She's carrying my baby."

Is that in response to my wondering about who the guy at the end of Starbuck's gun is? There is definitely the scene with Helo preventing her from shooting Boomer, and then right after that, there's a scene outside where she has a gun trained on someone and then whips her head around and points the gun in her other hand toward someone else, all the while keeping the first gun trained on the... I think what is a new guy, who also seems to be holding a gun. Doesn't look like Helo or one of the Cylons we've seen so far.

Dr. Who ep 11: Jack made the "W" for WHAT.ever. sign with his hands? Too funny. Fortunately, he didn't remind me even once of Tom Cruise this week. I continue to adore CE.

I have a general Dr. Who history (of the show, not of time) question - what happened to the various companions once the Dr., er, changed? Did they go back to their own time? End badly? Go elsewhere? Some combination of these?

The companions tended to stick with the Doctor for at least a bit after regeneration, but the position had a lot of turnover. One of them, Tegan, lasted all the way from the end of the Fourth Doctor's run to just before the beginning of the Sixth's.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

For would be members here is The T.W.A. Charter:

1) All members must be nice about Tegan at all times. Any member even considering using the phrase mouth on legs will be severly reprimanded (unless able to justify it's use).

2) Members must list purple as one of their top three favourite colours. Extra merit will be earnt for listing it as their only favourite colour.

3) The use of the word "rabbits" as a minor swearword is encouraged.

4) Complete fluency with the lyrics of either "Waltzing Matilda" or the in flight safety demonstration (including hand gestures) is required.

Membership is open to all.

I liked Tegan. She was sort of the angry voice of viewer incredulity years before there was a Television Without Pity.

Oh, interesting. I don't know why I assumed the companion would change with each regeneration - I guess I figured there were longer time lags between new Doctors than there necessarily were.

I should go find a Dr. Who site or two. I feel the need to know more.

Here's an irreverent brief guide to the series.

Heh, that's a fun site. I can now say definitively that I've only seen eps with the Dr. portrayed by Tom Baker (mostly these) and Peter Davidson (a few of these). The only reason I couldn't say this before is that I had no idea which names to attach to the two faces.

Well, aside from the current, of course. Which, have I mentioned, I love CE? I have? Well, OK, then.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Pity they haven't updated that site to include the new Who.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I noticed they left in a span of time between not only the last ep with the villain from this ep, but between the previous two-parter.

Handy gaps like that are useful for fanfiction and scriptwriting wiggle room.
