Buffy: So how'd she get away with the bad mojo stuff? Anya: Giles sold it to her. Giles: Well, I didn't know it was her. I mean, how could I? If it's any consolation, I may have overcharged her.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Aww, my parents sent me a bday present. China from Shreve Crump and Low. They're plates with scenes from olde boston. Public Gardens, Town Hall, blah blah blah beeeooteeful.

I have no idea what to do with them. I'd display if not for earthquakes, and I certainly can't use them for daily use.

I think this is a hint that i should marry a nice man, move back East, and buy a hutch.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Allyson, you can put them in plate hangers and hang them up. If they are fastened securely to the wall, they are pretty earthquake-proof. The SiL has a large collection of plates on her wall which survived the last big quake in San Luis Obispo, when the stuff on her shelves got broken.

Best wishes for speedy Emmett recovery!

Now tagless for your comfort.

Poor Emmett! But remember, chicks dig scars.

We have a fairly dumb cat.

My last cat was so dumb he brought in a LIVE mouse into the house. Not to play with it and kill it. Just brought it in and lost it. DH had to catch it. I then made him walk four blocks to the park and set it free. That being said, Bogey was my favorite.

THANKS! I'll have to hang them and send my mom a pic. She was so excited about it, she kept saying, "this is something really nice that you'd never splurge on and you'll pass them on to your daughter."

Um. I have no daughter. Again, I think it's a gift/hint.

gift/hint. Still a gift. I like pretty plates. I've seen Martha do some kick ass displays in her magazine.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Your mother is nicer than mine. I get no gifts with my hints.

My TiVo is wireless! So exciting! Almost makes up for my size issues internet shopping for bras.

These are truly beautiful, they're white with a light blue sort of etched design. And the Boston scenes are neat in that I sent her teacups with the same sort of design for her bday.
