Zoe: Next time we smuggle stock, let's make it something smaller. Wash: Yeah, we should start dealing in those black-market beagles.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Converging U.S. Navy aircraft carrier groups in Middle East send strong message to Iran and Syria

Soon there will be 3 carrier battle groups in the Middle East, for the first time in more than a year. Possibly two more will joint them. That's a shitload of carrier battle groups in one place. (A carrier battle group is one supercarrier (usually nuclear powered), about a dozen support ships and a submarine)

It seems American are preparing to deal with Syria and Iran in the next several months. The first priority right now is diplomacy in association with the Europeans and the rest of the world. But the leadership in Teheran and Damascus are taking notice of the power build up in the region.

and from here: [link]

Reports are also circulating that the U.S. Navy has dispatched ships containing nuclear armaments to reinforce the battle groups.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

On the other hand, reading various excerpts from the judges' decisions is making me huge fans of theirs. Like that part of the system, at least, is working.

Well, no doubt many of them were appointed by Democrats or the sane Republicans of previous administrations. Give it time.

The carrier group news makes me wonder if they're even going to bother justifying a decision to declare war on Iran, or just say "Because we SAID so, peons!"

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Well, no doubt many of them were appointed by Democrats or the sane Republicans of previous administrations. Give it time.

Judge Carnes is conservative. Judge Wilson was appointed by Clinton. My understanding is that all the judges appointed by Republican presidents who have heard the case have gone against the plaintiffs.

Dear Cindy,

I'm so sorry that it took me so long to respond, but I was busy making a blood sacrifice to the God of Neverending Winter to make sure that it snows not only tonight but JUST OVER YOUR HOUSE in April, May, and June. I hope you will forgive this slow response, but it's hard to find virgins these days.

Love ever,
Kristin

Our wings are not tired.

Oh, and sometimes I pick stuff up on Wait Wait Don't Tell Me.

Yeah, but the policy of only getting news here and on TDS might blow my chance on a new message on my answering machine.

Expect a teary eyed Jeb! news conference when the poor woman dies. If you are lucky only the Floridians will get coverage of this.

Good side of this is the huge numbers of people who have signed and notarized their wishes in Terri's memory.
