True. I hope the tamarind balls are okay.

people who get sinus headaches...do you ever get them when you aren't congested? and does the pain get really sharp and throbby if you bend over?
Absolutely. Or what shrift said. A lot of times, I'm okay when I'm upright, and then when I lie down for bed, my head really starts killing me.
The tamarind balls are quite tasty.
Frontline:
Can you believe all that stuff about bin Laden?!
(I make my own fun)
Is Frontline fun?
Frontline has had the most hilarious coverage of terrorism since 9/11.
Yay! I've managed to glance through all four of my math articles! Now I need to choose between two -- the meaty one (20 pages, with appendices and references) or the one with lots of scary statistics (not scary in the conclusions, scary in that I'm not so good with the language of statistics) which is only 6 pages long.
A classmate just reminded me that I have an assignment due that I have basically no time to do, BUT! I just looked at the syllabus, and there is like no explanation of what we're supposed to do, so I feel free to throw some bullshit together and hand it in. Ugh.
Thanks, guys! That was some lovely TAR whitefont. I had to leave for class, or I would have said so earlier.
ETA: TAR-- Wow. The preview for next week looks way intense. It's not so much who's going to finish first or who might be eliminated, but who might survive this next leg of... The Amazing Race. Also, I love Rob and Amber, so I was very happy that they won. I even like that they got a prize. Lynn and Alex's prize last week was, obviously, beating Rob and Amber. It's what they wanted more than anything else in the world. Clearly.

This has been the case (for me) for a large chunk of my academic career. So far, so good. For some reason, that method tends to work better than actually sweating it out and killing yourself over writing the best paper that you can. I don't know why.
So I saw Elvis. And he was grand. I tend to forget that even though I think of him primarily as a songwriter/singer/arranger, he's also a kickass performer. Great show. He had sparkly shoes: Hecubus would have approved.
But the surprising thing was that the opening act was Tift Merritt! Whom I remembered Nutty saying she knew. And she was very good indeed; I may go looking for her album.
A fun time was had by all, in the lovely Paramount Theater, which many Buffistas will remember.
