Ah, Buffista Conversation #27 --
College with kids my age was definitely really important socially, but I'm not sure it balances out the bad aspects of high school.
I'm in the same category. When I was in grade school, the district wanted to skip me a grade or two. My parents said no -- I was already one of the youngest and smallest kids in my class, and they were worried that I wouldn't fit in socially with the older kids.
I also had almost enough credits to graduate at the end of junior year in high school. If I'd been willing to take a unit of P.E. in summer school, I'd have been able to start college a year early.
In college, I found a small niche and clung to it. It wasn't until grad school/law school that I really blossomed socially.
Thank you for pitying my slowness
I shall not pity. I will encourage you to read the excellent FAQ, How-To, and Etiquette links as they are not only informative, but entertaining.
I would watch a television series focused on physicists if Nilly were featured. Take the Halle Berry suggestion as a compliment. Many folk find her adorable. (just wronger than a thing that is wrong for Catwoman)
Congratulations Raquel and welcome to the world, newbie!
Coffee is not helping with my morning stupid.
Jumping to the end to wish Raquel good healing and to welcome Mallory into the world. Another Buffista operative takes his first breath...
Congratulations to both Raquel and her DH!
Yeah, Gus, that was a little inside of me. Thanks for taking the time, but then, you had to.
This America, right?;)
(Maybe I ought to be worried that following me worries people. But this is the support group for people like that...I don''t know where else to go.)
pssst, Kristin -- I think this is a boy Mallory. Although I was a little confused myself, until I got to the eleven toes. Boys are weird.
Oh...Ummm...going back to edit now. Thanks!
(which makes my tag request even more relevant)
He was totally being nice. And he tried to pick a name that is big enough for my sieve to recognize (I only remember faces, scary visual place that my brain is. I probably only know to connect her name to her face thanks to ita). I guess it was the "world colliding" thing in work, that caught me by such surprise.
