The Daily Show segment on the Rapturers also concerned a website that will send messages to your friends for you if you are Raptured. One of Colbert's more sublime works.
(I surmise that from this and his "This Week in God" regular feature religion is a topic near and dear to his heart much the way it is to Cindy.)
Nonian, i learned it the way you understand it (I am, etc...no other gods = Commandment #1) in CCD. However, the cantor told us that the first part is the first commandment and the "You shall have no other gods" part is the 2nd commandment. It was weird to me, but he was quite specific. Why we have these different readings of the text, I don't know.

Not that I can tell. At this point I just feel fat and tired and a little queasy. And hungry. I've already had three meals (it's 1pm for me) and I'm ready to eat again.

This is from last night, so I'm sure nobody remembers or cares, but I thought I'd just update to clarify. I did try this, it being the recommended way to get around this kind of protection (even though it reduces quality), but the protection prohibits me from burning the songs. Isn't that freaking fantastic? I have one avenue left to try, but unfortunately this means getting together with Jen -- something I've been trying to do for its own sake for several months without success.
