You just unscrew the socket from behind the headlight, pull out the bulb, and pop in the new one.
Is this Jetta-specific? Because my Accord was complicated enough that even though I started, I had to take it to the shop to finish. You had to take other stuff out to get behind the headlight. Under the hood of the Jetta looks even denser.
Dood, do not try to change the headlight in a Volkswagen without professional help. Seriously. I had mid-80s Golf and a Rabbit, and both of those required the most amazing contortions to fix any of the bulbs. Take it to the dealer and let them fuck with it.
Well, your engine layout may vary. But I think Jettas are supposed to okay in regards to lightbulb socket accessability.
Just a note about my previously-mentioned copy-protected CD -- it turns out iTunes for the Mac can read protected wma files.
How? I am faced with this issue.
Um... I don't know, actually, but I know Theodosia was able to make a copy for me. Do you have a Mac?
Do you have a Mac?
Yes.
I'm off to get training class food, and then catch a flight to Chicago.
Oh man, nevermind then. I had heard someone say it wasn't too bad. My definition of easy blub replacement doesn't involve tools.
OK, mine's a bitch, but that is an INSANE design. To change bulb, remove grill?
Good lord.
