I know the feeling, Jesse. My boss seems to think in time lapsed rather than actual work hours that can be spent on a project. Last Wednesday she asked me to configure a PC for a brand new user starting on Monday. I told her I was really busy that day, but I'd get to it Thursday or Friday. Thursday morning one of my co-worker's laptop started acting up. Between trying to recover it and the big meeting we had that day, it took up the entire workday. Friday was spent restoring it from scratch since the old installation was hopeless (it would not recognize her keyboard so I had no way of logging in to the damn thing. I tried several different external keyboards without any better luck.) She had a whole lot of software installed, so getting everything back to normal took the entirety of Friday. Mind you, this co-worker sits in view of the boss' desk. Monday morning she pages me on the way in to ask if the PC for the new hire was ready.

Just a note about my previously-mentioned copy-protected CD -- it turns out iTunes for the Mac can read protected wma files. So there's that, if anyone else runs into the problem.
Which means, of course, that their efforts to keep me from sharing the music were so restrictive that they forced me to share it with another person (since I don't have a Mac). Way to go, music industry.
