Hey, look, the McSweeney'sites at 826 Valencia and the superhero supply store in NYC have opened up a workshop space in LA.
No crazy storefront yet, but it sounds like (as is usual for them) some terrific programs and a great group of people.
Huh. Wondering if they might be looking for a teacher-type next year. Not that I'll be there for sure, but...
Just dreaming.
what Hank Williams is to Neil Armstrong.....can you doubt we were meant for each other.
There were lots of TWOP'ers at the Veronica Mars thing, and they've already posted a lot of recaps. We saw jengod, too.
reads msbelle's post
is deliciously earwormed
swoons with pleasure
Kristin, you should totally check it out.
JZ, when I get to the point that I'm really able to move, I definitely will. That sounds like an ideal compromise between staying directly in teaching and completely changing careers.
There's a recap of the Veronica Mars thing on that perfect world site that I won't link to as well.
I've been having such a frustrating time at work the past couple of weeks. I was repeating my tagline to someone as part of my efforts to not let the idiocy of others bug me [for posterity "In a hundred years, all new people," courtesy of someone around here], and his response was "well how do you know they'll be any better?"
Dude, I'm calming myself down by basically imagining the death of every single person now extant in this world,
and you're trying to harsh that mellow?
I really don't think that's the road you want to go down just now.
Ladies and gentlemen, the Handbook That Ate Tokyo is now out of my hands.
I expect the new hands to fling it back at me at some point, much like monkeys fling around their excrement, but right now? I'm leaving early.
brenda, I'm ok the throwing of objects at that moron.
YAYAYAYAYAY! Dana. woohooage.
Ladies and gentlemen, the Handbook That Ate Tokyo is now out of my hands.
Yay! I know what that feels like. Go forth and drink adult beverages.
