Every time I hear about how Bush looked into Putin's soul, I cringe. I've heard that statement repeated, and Bush's actual statement replayed, several times already this morning.
It's so laughable to me - as if Marshall Flinkman could look into Jack Bristow's eyes and see his soul.
how Bush looked into Putin's soul
Really? I skipped this morning's news. Why does this evoke for me an image of Bush pulling open a hopper in the back of Putin's head and peering in over the edge?
And, of all people, why would anyone expect Bush to be big with the interpersonal insight?
Why is Putin's soul in the news again anyway?
Why is Putin's soul in the news again anyway?
Apparently a vampire had it for the last 25 years. But then he got dusted, and it returned to Putin.
Putin's soul is in the news to distract from tapes of Bush talking about smoking the Weed. Pay no attention to the fnords.
Bush looked into Putin's soul
Can I just say how fucking upsetting it is for me to hear that our President is using his judgment on the fitness of other people's souls as a valid basis for international policy? I mean, yeargh. Gnah. No words. Aaargh.
(If I were Stitch, I'd have rolled myself into a little ball right now and knocked over half of our office.)

I'm not Stitch, and I'm still considering this as a course of action.

THis is exactly what I mean. It's so embarassing.
[Bush made the comment about looking into Putin's eyes and seeing his soul a few years ago. Since they are meeting again this morning, the news media has been replaying the tape as a set-up to today's event.
Besides the fact that Putin is a former KGB guy (hence my Jack Bristow comparison) and probably is fairly decent at hiding his soul from those who look into his eyes, it's such a goofy, high-school crush sort of thing to say.]

It's a valid course of action, but I fear the damage done to our soft human bodies. Much better to be an Experiment 626, and then perhaps we could fling VW Bugs at deserving asshat's houses/mansions/estates.

I thought I'd never heard anything so appalling, but subsequent years of the administration have knocked that one almost of out the running.
Although frankly, given the direction both of them have drifted in the years since that occurred, I'm inclined to lend it more credence than I did at the time. Kindred spirits indeed.

Yeah, it wasn't just the whackaloon element, it also made Bush and this country look so fucking naive.
