Kaylee: You're nice, too. Mal: No, I'm not. I'm a mean old man.

Yay you! Are you going to celebrate that in some way? Because you definitely deserve it.

Yup! There have been little celebrations (popcorn and wine on Sunday night), but there will be a big celebration on Sunday with the Somervillains. We're going for maragritas and Mexican food. I can hardly wait.

And, go Allyson, as well, I guess

Yes. Allyson was a great help. Also, Deena, Ginger and PC were too.

Are you still planning of widening the paper into a thesis?

I am hoping to widen it, but it's going to be a bit more of a challenge to get it approved than I was hoping. More than likely I'm going to need to get someone in the sociology department (of which I know NO ONE) to advise the project. So, I'm going to meet with my favorite English prof and see if he's got any ideas. I definately think it deserves further research and work, and I'd really like to do that. If I don't do it for school, I may just do it on my own. We'll see.

Our wings are not tired.

Laura, how is your son's knee?

He's still hobbling about. He is supposed to have practice tonight, but Dad has declared he can watch practice. The docs say that playing sports with the growing pains won't cause any permanent damage, but much pain. My concern, which the docs and DH agree with, is that he might fall or otherwise seriously injure himself playing in that kind of pain. Dad is talking to coach tonight about cutting down on his playing time. He usually is in most of the game.

Yay for improved Nilly access!

Dear Theo, sorry you are feeling bad. Are you staying home today?

What is even happening?

Laura, is dh going to talk to the coach, about approaching the officials regarding your son being targeted because he's the big kid?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Gronk.

I want coffee. I have no cash. The coffee place doesn't take credit cards. The nearest ATM is across the street. It's snowing. I'm trying to figure out where my priorities lie in this situation.

Also, this weather is insane. Not the snow itself -- I'm fine with a few inches of snow. Just the fact that, yesterday, I was wearing a light jacket, unbuttoned, and today I had to wear a hat and scarf again.

Oh, good luck with that!

Which reminds me - you're going to put the paper online, right? I'm really curious to read it.

Theo, feel (even) better.

Yup. That's the plan. I need to figure out *where* I'll be putting it, but I'm sure I can find someone who's willing to host it.

Excellent. Thanks!

And now I need to go finish the lesson for today. Please ignore me harshly if I'm here again in the next hour.

I went to the ATM, where I found out that I actually had about $200 more in my account than I'd thought. So that was nice. I'd thought I had only about $30 until I got paid. So I now have coffee, and enough cash to buy lunch if I don't feel like going home in the middle of the day to eat.

vw, I definitely want to read that paper once you've got it online. It sounds really interesting.
