And we know the rule: happies are to be crushed under the boot of the writer.
Not so much on Alias. There, it's more like, "what's prettiest?" "What can we make explode?" And then finally, "Can we make it make sense? No? Ah, well. Can't win them all."
And happies happen. And then sometimes they just wipe out everything and start fresh.
It is not the most logical show, and crushing happies would have to be somewhat cold-bloodedly logical.
My contention has always been that events on Alias make sense with what happened immediately before. Further back than that? You're on your own. One of the things that put me, mythology's bitch, off of the show.
Can I get a word-up from night shift in the hiz-ouse?
Hi, Lee!
I'm watching The 4400, as I'm not sleeping till I get on the plane. I took a nap at 7 or so.
How's the packing going?
How's the packing going?
The what now?
I need to get to bed soon, I think.
Huh. The embassy cafeteria is serving rum-flavoured hot tea this morning. It is no Earl Grey, I tell you.
My tape only got the first few minutes of Alias. Feh.
