Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Well, the article says that they had information that the car had left the garage. I suppose that the suspect carjacking a car and then abandoning it in the same garage just never occured to them (I'm sure the cops' emotions were runing high).

I'm not defending them; I'm just saying I can see how it could happen....

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I also can understand how it could happen, particularly since he had hijacked three or four cars before. They were assuming he was in the last known hijacked car. Still, I bet they feel pretty dumb. So far, they don't know how he got from there to killing the customs agent around Lenox Square, which would be about five miles north.

Thanks for thinking of me, Stephanie. He did cut a pretty wide swath through Atlanta--several carjackings downtown, the killing near Lenox, and then being captured, including a showdown with a hostage, in Gwinnett County.

hip deep in pie

It's just starting to snow here, but I was out this morning and it was already cold and windy. I should go to the library, but I'm just starting to get cozy.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

For the record, it's just started snowing in Somerville, really huge flakes.

More bulletins as things developed. I'm thinking of taking my laptop outside and posting, a la one of the local broadcast meteorologists....

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I take back my thing about cute guys and smiling. They can keep doing it, even if they're not interested in me. They just have to make sure to do it at me sometimes.

Okay -- back to packing.

Apart from sports, "my secret favorite thing on earth is ketchup. I will put ketchup on anything. But it has to be Heinz." - my husband, Michael Vartan

I am so tired. For the last six hours I've been consistently woken up, by EIGHT phone calls, several snooze buttons, bad dreams, a broken toilet, and roommates leaving. Then, for the few hours I did sleep, I was having hideous nightmares, including ones where people broke into my apartment and attacked me, and ones where I had my kitty cats here, and they were hurt and/or lost.

Bleh. That sucked.

Poor Alibelle!

Thanks, Nicole.

I'm glad you're getting pretty weather, even if it is temporary.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I'm packing up books.

Sad now.

What is even happening?

Lee, how long have you been in L.A.?

Will SF take you closer to any of your family?
