I am getting a jump on all the weekend hair dyers by doing mine right now. I will also work and go to Best Buy for some supplies. And have a long conversation with my friend in Florida to see what we need to to about these things we call lives. Plus make a mix CD for my sister's birthday and do some additional present buying for her.
But in fun news, just made plans with friends for a beach week in NC in August, yay!
leave for Costa Rica
Ooh, Rio totally wins. Have a wonderful trip.
YAY FRIDAY NIGHT!!
Or something. Reading and watching crappy tv and imbibing too much scotch. But I can sleep in! After I get up at 7 am to shoot the cat. And then get up again to, y'know, do stuff.
I just discovered that the Trachtenwhatever Family Slideshow thingy I've heard about on the radio is in Austin and doing their thing while I'm there. Wondering what family I could rope into trying to crash this. Or someother musical thingy. And how you get in. I'd love to lurk in Austin with my favorite cousin, but....well, I suspect we'll be doing family stuff. And he has kids & wife (who could come with us but...kids) now and....hell. How did he get to be in his forties? How did 15 years pass? He lived with us when I was 15. Suddenly, I had a big brother who I adored and detested. And now I'm a grownup?
Yay RIO! And yay JenP! Sounds like both will be in prime cabana boy spots.
What color, Jen?
It's, umm... cocoa, a.k.a medium brown. I have to use the 28-shampoo wash out kind because I am far, far too lazy to keep up with permanent hair color. I've tried, and it was not pretty. I also used the wrong color at one point and had a whole horizontal stripe thing going. People said they couldn't tell. People could tell.
(I have a pretty necklace and earrings brought back by a friend who visited Costa Rica. It is made from seed pods, and it's dark, dark brown and deep orangey-red, and I love it. She loved Costa Rica and wants to go back.)
I don't like the Trachtenberg Family. I think the parents are bad parents. The little girl has that hypermature hypercompetent air that the kids of negligent parents tend to have.

Ooh.
planning new wardrobe around new jewelry
I don't know much beyond my vague recollection of the show on the radio, so I can't say much. I'll take your word for it. They did seem loopy, like so many loopy families I knew from meeting. But it is more the plethora of stuff happening there when I'm in the vicinity. And the need to run from my crazy planny fussy relatives.
