Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Anybody else think we're going to see a Depression-level collapse in the next ten years?

That's overstating things a little. More like an Argentina-style collapse. Extremely painful, but not as long-lasting.

An Argentina-style collapse doesn't sound that encouraging. Are you investing in gold, Tom?

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

No dead spots, for one thing. You wound up with a basketball surface that was about 4" thick of solid wood.

But isn't part of the purpose of the planked wood floors to provide a little give? I mean, you could play on concrete and not have any dead spots, but it's harder on the joints.

Right now, I'm investing my money in my mental health, and don't have much to spare.

Gold in and of itself probably isn't a very good investment. But I would include it as part of a well-balanced portfolio that also includes a lot of foreign currency, and foreign-denominated stocks.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

But I would include it as part of a well-balanced portfolio that also includes a lot of foreign currency, and foreign-denominated stocks.

Some day I shall have a well-balanced portfolio, just like how some day I shall eat a well-balanced breakfast.

What've you got now? Bacon and Biotech?

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Right now, I'm investing my money in my mental health

Wise move. That's bound to increase in value over time.

SEE! It's competence that's sexy, not evil per se.

You want competence? You should hear him pronounce "cot" and "caught."
