Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

"this dorm was designed after the '60s to make it harder for students to occupy/protest."

This was said of the UW-Madison Fine Arts building. Also, that it was rotated 180 degrees from what it was supposed to be.

Might be true - it's a bizarre-looking building with sloped sides and tiny windows....

Lemme see if I can find a pic....

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Q. What happens when you get the UUs really mad at you? A. They show up and burn a question mark on your lawn.

Okay, THAT is really funny!

Punishingly Intricate

Speaking of too sweet...and also water-esque beverages. I just found out they have discontinued my favorite sporty type drink. Delicious, refreshing Smart Water is now nasty ass sweetened Fruit Water. I'm unreasonably sad about this. I just called 1-877-GLACEAU to register my displeasure. The poor girl on the other end of the line was very nice at least.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I was at UConn from 93-96, and the library was the biggest campus joke around. It was under constant construction and covered in scaffolding the entire time I was there.

The building problems at URI when I was there were that most of the buildings put up in the seventies were designed with what were called "experimental" roofing materials. The experiment, apparently, was to see how cheaply they could roof a building, because they all leaked like sieves. Another of the experiments was to basically bury the biology building. It was built into the side of a shallow hill, and three sides of it were underground. That roof leaked, too, mostly because people were constantly walking across the roof. We also had a big chunk of carved marble facade fall off the library. They build things to last at URI.

At Seton Hall, the gym did have settling problems. The gym floor was unique. It was hardwood, but rather than the floorboards being laid end to end, as usual, the wood pieces were laid end grain up, as if you were walking on the end of a palatte of 2x4's. This one time we showed up for a class after the building had settled a bit, buckling the floor rather spectacularly. There was this 2 ft. tall ridge of wood blocks running from side to side at one end of the floor.

Much as I miss Smart Water (Lemon Cucumber was the best thing ever!), the new stuff isn't very sweet at all. (It's the stuff I just mentioned stocking up on for L&D.)

I wish they'd offer us both, personally.

Up with the sun

Personally, I'd rather see it played the way Kris & Jon did.

Eh. They were likable compared to everyone else last season, but they never seemed to have any competitive edge, which is why they lost. I think Hayden and Aaron and Freddy and Kendra were both better teams (at least, until Hayden melted down), whatever their personality issues.

"There are no sorority houses because of an old brothel law."

The University of Maryland College Park says this, too. I think it's standard tour guide timefiller. And who knows, it might actually be true, somewhere.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

FMOE, drink as much water as you can before you get to the hospital. The instant you feel the first pain, start drinking cause if your hospital is anything like mine was, the instant you get there, no more liquid or food. Ice chips only.

I can't remember when they made me stop eating, but by that point I didn't want to anyway. However, I was eating and drinking well after I got there and was having contractions.
