Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

My money's on no one knowing where the darts were, or something equally as stupid.

Cops had a big "trank party" the previous weekend?

I have a plan.

Well, that's it, they're off. My applications to substitute teach here in the Old Pueblo. Now only time will tell if they think I've got the stuff.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Since she can't get a gig?

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

So am I. Of course, it's the talk of the office right now, and no one can work out why not trank it first, and then kill if necessary later.

The animal was so big that it would take off and be far, far away after being tranked, before it set in. They couldn't risk losing it again.

Well, Kate must not have cared that much whether he stayed around then, because that's just silly. Me or your livelihood? Yeah, sort of have to go with livelihood, sorry.

Ooh, I could rent a house for less than I pay now. [link] . Anyone know if the area is liveable?

Larger animals than that have been brought down by tranquiliser guns, I'm sure. What was different here?

I meant, she can't get anything good.

Lee, the neighborhood is fine and very residential. Sort of a nicerish version of my neighborhood. It's not super close to where you will be working.
