ita, Betsy, and others who have done PT, I have a question. Given that I am leaving here in less than 2 months and already have a relationship with a chiropractor who gives me exercises to do and such things, does it make sense to start a relationship with a physical therapist now. Shouldn't I just wait until I get to Palo Alto?

I would get PT started as soon as possible. He's liable to have a diagnosis of his own, and the more you can do to stop your body from compensating and further damage the better.
Some injuries just need time to go from therapy-responding to surgery-needing.

I'll second that. Also, depending on the severity of the injury, you could complete your therapy before you move.

Sadly, not a man. No Dr G. style oogling for me.
What ita and juliana said. With bone and joint nastiness, the sooner you treat, the better.
No Dr G. style oogling for me.
Well, you can two time your PT with Dr G. I certainly did.
I am now earwormed with Jon Bon Jovi. Grrr
