"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I think I'm going to watch GG now. I feel Luke is my copilot today.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

You got class coming out of your bottom.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

MSNBC says

Mount St. Helens spewed out a cloud of ash thousands of feet in the air Tuesday afternoon.

but

There was no indication yet whether there was any eruption from the volcano.

eta: So does "eruption" mean there must be lava?

I don't really know. CBC called it an eruption, but we don't have a lot of active volcanos here.

I have heard that every 200 millilon years there's a giant eruption from the Yellowstone Park area that pretty much wipes out all life on North America. We are overdue for one of these. If this happens we'll have to do a watch and post. (Although it would probably just be a bunch of people going, "Are you dead yet?")

But then I've since heard that the immediate danger of such a thing was overstated.

eta: Oh, and Super volcanoes will chill the world someday

There’s little that can be done, except to prepare for riding out global devastation, scientists say.

The eruption of a super volcano "sooner or later" will chill the planet and threaten human civilization, British scientists warned Tuesday.

Voted.

Hey, I can be classy!!

And don't I know it. But the image of you in the flannel, drinking Pellegrino by the 40oz, was just fine.

But then I've since heard that the immediate danger of such a thing was overstated.

I've seen that Discovery channel special. They were so over the top with their "THIS COULD HAPPEN ANY SECOND," I knew it had to be overstating it.

Of course, part of the fun of being alive is knowing that any second, one big, dark rock could take us all out at any moment.
