Well, a gathering is brie, mellow song stylings; shindig, dip, less mellow song stylings, perhaps a large amount of malt beverage, and hootenanny, well, it's chock full of hoot, just a little bit of nanny.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I've been looking at that too ita. What I'm thinking of buying, though, is this [link] and maybe a couple of these at a later date when I have a lot more money: [link]

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Two words: Earthquake. Country.

It's only going to stand 24 inches high. I'm pretty sure it's not less stable than the wall bracket my stuff is currently on. I wish it were deep enough to put the TV on, though.

eta: Those are very attractive, Brenda.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Don't Seventh Day Adventists keep kosher?

Sorta. Well, they call it kosher. They skip pork and shellfish (and many are just flat-out vegetarian) but there is not concern about milk and meat.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Is what we use as a coffee table/ottoman. It rocks.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Whee! I get to go new furniture shopping soon.

The Cost Plus stuff is so pretty. I wish the web site were more detailed, though. Their media centres, for instance, are shown mostly closed, so you can't see what the organisation inside is like. And the descriptions aren't that helpful. It's not like I'm buying without stopping by the store, but I'm trying to kill time at work, and I feel underserved.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I saw a Design on a Dime episode that went shopping for an entertaiment center at a Cost-Plus, and they ended up getting a pretty nice one (not their first choice, though) for about $250.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Oh, hivemind....

There's a product I usually refer to as a "candle pistol" because you pull a trigger and it produces a flame. But it's much bigger than a cigarette lighter. What's its real name?
