I think the yellow is too much, but the blue could work as long as you don't accessorize with solid colors. I do love the floors and the grounds though.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

That does cover just about the whole range, at least colorwise.
Oh wait, no..I have one more.
I think my real problem with the blue and yellow is having them together. My high school's colors were blue and gold, and I am not sure I could live in a place that looks like John Muir High School threw up in it.
A very valid choice.
Also, the icky Bruins colors.
For some reason, and I honestly have no idea why, I felt compelled to point that out.
looks like John Muir High School threw up in it.
Good point. I'd balk at living in an apartment decorated in purple and gold (translated--yellow), the colors of the "Purgolders." How lame is that for a name?

So were mine, both high schools.
My problem with the counter is that I need my counters to be smooth, both for food prep and cleaning.
I've noticed my new place has no broom closetty thing. Where do people without those keep their mops? I hate mops. Which is why I have a Swiffer WetJet. But it still occurs to me I don't know where to put it.

We keep them all stacked up between the stove/oven and the wall right by the front door. It's really a lovely site for guests to see as they walk in. But, really, there's nowhere else to put them.
Between the stove and the wall in one apartment, in the back of the hall closet in another.
too many counter in Ca - esp up here are tile. and til with huge lines of grout between them. I have seen some with tiny lines of grout which look and work better- Some day I will replace my counter with a solid top. Of course, some day there will be more counters.
brooms and thing like that are in the hall closet. next to the vaccum cleaner.
Timelies,
Went to bed early (for a Saturday night, anyway) and now waking up at 9:30 felt like sleeping in instead of way too early. Couple this with the fact that I have no intentions to move furniture and this day is looking to be a lot better so far.
IRT the condo Lee linked, I actually like the blue in the bedroom as well, though I agree the bedspread needs to be a different color to contrast it. Not so keen on the yellows and reds. Much too bright for my taste.
Kalshane, I've been moving furniture too. But in Visio, so less stressful.
I'd imagine. Though I'm not sure how it would help with my problem which was pretty much the TV placement being good in theory but not working out so well once you actually tried to watch it. I just couldn't get the couch far enough away from it to make having it at an angle a viable option except for where the couch was originally.
Today's Boondocks cracked me up, though it could just be my crazy Pinky and the Brain love. [link]

Mine just sits in my kitchen near the oven. I'm not happy about it, but I have no real options.
I don't have a hall closet either. If this turns out to be my worst problem of setting up the new place, I'll be pretty happy.

I think if you included more detail in the plan (like angle of vision, etc), then a) it'd help b) you'd be crazy.
This week's Monk is bothering me. Letting him have the kid to watch -- SO WRONG. I like the touching character notes that are resulting, but the premise is WRONG.
