The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I don't even have boxes yet, unless you count the ones I never unpacked from my last move.

Right now I'm working more on my give away pile.

Art Crawl!!!

I'm watching Trading Spaces: Through the Roof. They've had each of the teams pick three designers and a carpenter. They haven't yet said which design team is working on which house.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Pretty ring, Rio! Congrats!

I just spent twelve hours going to a bridal shower that was just lunch. Also there was a small car accident, but everything was OK -- the car just got scratched. And the driver had a small rage blackout, but got over it relatively quickly.

Caught and cot are too different. t /Eastern MA

What is even happening?

I think for me, the caught/cot difference has less to do with the vowel sound, and more to do with emphasis--like my tongue hits different spots in my mouth. I say "cot" more softly than "caught"--I think.

Oh, Jesse, I'm glad you weren't hurt in the car wreck. No bridal shower should take 12 hours. Oy.

Did you find out what's up with your aunt?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh, it wasn't even a wreck. This guy just drifted over into our lane, and scraped the side of our car, in the back. It was the going-80-on-the-highway part that made it scary. Luckily, we were on our way to a liquor-friendly household, so we could start drinking wine as soon as we got to the house, at 10 am. That took the edge off.

The shower itself only took like four hours. Two hours there and back, a lot of miscellaneous sitting around for no reason, traffic getting back to the city, a subway ride home, and there you go.

And I have no further info on the aunt, as family communication day isn't until tomorrow. Heh.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Am I allowed to pack up the cats, Lorne, my laptop, and a few other odds and ends and just leave everything else here?

Aren't you forgetting the pimp hat?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

That would be one of the "odds and ends".

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

More odd than end.

ita, I think I need to bow out of the packing tomorrow, since I haven't done near enough myself today. Sorry about that.

Sorry that you won't be joining us. Can't you get the cats to earn their keep and do some of your packing?
