OOH, RIO, I want to see your ring in person! (AND YOU). I will be there all day Monday and part of Tuesday if that works better for you.

Congratulations, Rio! There's something about the bended knee thing, isn't there? It's a lovely ring, too.

That's a Sunday, right? I'll be just getting back from Costa Rica, but if I'm not too tired I would love love to come.

Yes! I didn't think I'd care about that, but when it started happening I freaked out.
Me too, Rio. Bits of my heart went melty that I didn't even know were there before.
Rio, you can have Saget, but *I* want to marry your ring, too! So gorgeous!
BUT STILL NOT AS PRETTY AS YOU!
Thanks aurelia and Narrator.
tommyrot, I can't even answer the first question on that:
1. How do you pronounce Aunt?
Like the word want
Like the word ant
Like the word caught
I pronounce them all the same
None of the above! If you choose "want" the quiz results state "Clearly Massachusetts, SE Maine, or Rhode Island" as a result.
I can't speak for Rhode Island, but that's not how (most) folks (whom I've heard) in SE Main or Mass say aunt. We have more vowel sounds, and our "want" doesn't have an "ah" sound in it, where our aunt does.
The "an" in want is pronounced the same way we pronounce the freestanding word "on". I don't get the "caught" option--unless they just mean vowel-wise, because there's no "n" sound in caught, and that vowel sound is aw, where aunt has ah.
Rio! Your ring is so so pretty! I can see why you're so excited, and what a great story!
I am 53% (Dixie). Barely into the Dixie category.
Cindy, surely you can't be surprised to discover an online test is inaccurate. I've yet to find one that isn't.
