Franny was napping on our bed and I was at my computer. I hear feet pattering down the hall and think to myself, "too loud to be the cat, too quiet to be my brother." I hear them again and think "I'd better go check on Franny." The bedroom door is wide open, the bed is empty. So I walk down the hall to the living room, and someone comes over to greet me, quiet as a mouse, holding her favorite toy, Lamby.

"Who needs pickles?" is a much better question.
