Always Anti-fascist!

Boring weekend so far(apart from the book which is going well) I had plenty of time to read Natter, though.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I rule!

I bought a new computer for my sister, set it up, moved the hard drive from the old one to the new one, and copied over a bunch of their files. I couldn't set up their internet because they've got a wireless router and I have no idea how that works, but I'm fairly pleased with myself.

Now I'ma flop on the couch with a beer and watch three weeks' worth of Lost, Joan, and Stargate. Life is good.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Lee, I love that sweater (I have a silk version in red, adore). The cardigan on that dress looks weird with no one in it, but the dress is cool.

Aimée commutes (or will when she goes back to work) by train, no?

I heard somewhere the reason that my neighbourhood doesn't have rail is because Beverly Hills wouldn't let anyone go underneath them -- is that true?

This week's Numb3rs was about trains. Plate o shrimp. For people that watched it -- is Teresa macking on big bro? Is that what we saw?

I need to decide if I'm going to karaoke tonight. I don't sing. I really, adamantly, don't sing.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I think you should go, ita, as a fellow non-singer who enjoys not singing with people.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Did Daddy get cleanup duty since he turned her loose in such a state?

Yup.

I dunno ita. What's the point of karaoke if you aren't going to sing? Then again, I love to sing, I've never been to karaoke night, and I still don't feel like my life is missing something.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Yay!

I went out to see Constantine with friends, which was a nice way to finish the day.

Why don't you go, and say hi to Kelly for me?

I like Kelly. Kelly rocks. Kelly invited me to a strip club, and I got a migraine. Kelly invites me to karaoke, and I'm thinking -- great, watching people sing, perhaps badly, and not drinking because I'm driving.

My karaoke memories are kinda sour -- my friends always managed to perform well enough that I felt like a loser for not being able to hold a tune. And the last karaoke I actually remember was a "friend" singing Elton John's "Daniel" just after my ex (uncoincidentally named Daniel) had left town forever. I hadn't even known the song existed.

So I could go, and relive horror, or I could go and clean out the memories.

Or I could finish that book, and sort through stuff before packing.

Art Crawl!!!

That's what I thought I saw too. (On Numb3rs, I mean.)

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

If I could work out how to commute by train, I would. I guess if I moved to Virgil MS I could go by train.

but then I'd be teaching at Virgil.

I desperately want the pink pea coat with black buttons at Overstock. But not enough to spend the money.

Lori became an accidental gawker at the Spirit Awards because she was riding around Venice/Santa Monica on her bike. ita, she ate at Rae's.

Was he reacting with regret? I thought he'd pretty cleanly wooed his brother's ex just a second before. Musical partners!
