I am not...I am not the damsel in distress. I am not some case. I have to work this. I've lived in a cave for 5 years in a world where they killed my kind like cattle. I am not going to be cut down by some monster flu. I am better than that. What a wonder...how very scared I am.

The evil is this way?

Who are Condi's fashion contemporaries?

Other women politicians -- Hillary Clinton, Laura Bush, ...

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Who are Condi's fashion contemporaries?

I dunno. She's in her middle 40s, and all I can think of are women a decade or more older, and Hollywood people, who don't count. I suppose part of it all is that Rice is slim, and likes to show off that part.

Which, you know what? I bet that the person who waxes the Secretary of State's legs has to have security clearance. Heh heh heh.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Who are Condi's fashion contemporaries?

The Mesdames Bush and Clinton; Nancy Pelosi.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Didn't she just turn 50?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Maybe the thing that bugs me the most is that I hate Condi, but after reading the article and seeing the picture, I do see Condi as sexy and powerful.

I feel dirty....

I defer to the Capitol Hill fangirl. If Clinton and Nancy Pelosi are her cohort, then yeah, an avoidance of pink peplum jackets is rather the departure. Can't complain, really, as long as the Matrix thing doesn't actually extend to real foreign policy.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Having image googled Bush, Clinton and Pelosi, I'd say Pelosi is the only one that could benefit from much of a makeover. Laura and Hillary don't look like there's a quantum gain to be realised. Pelosi, OTOH, looks like she's wearing the same clothes as the Ladies First, but could do a lot snappier.

There's a chick in my team who has really snappy business wear every day. She really knows how to accessorise with strong colour, and always looks both stylish and professional. She could help Pelosi out.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Didn't she just turn 50?

She did. I believe it was in November.

Whenever Condi arrives to meet with foreign officials, they should play Darth Vader's theme.
