Kaylee: You're nice, too. Mal: No, I'm not. I'm a mean old man.

I like Hungry as the Grave. It has a nice rhythm.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I dunno, my mind went immediately to Hungry Like the Wolf and big hair bands.

So which one do you like? It's okay if it's none of them.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

The story would be a different twist on Poe's "Premature Burial."

I like "Hungry as the Grave," particularly since I found this:

Cruel as Death, and hungry as the Grave!
Burning for blood! bony, and gaunt, and grim!
Assembling wolves in raging troops descend;
And, pouring o'er the country, bear along,
Keen as the north wind sweeps the glossy snows.
All is their prize.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

There is another ballad similar to the "Unquiet Grave" .

A wife mourns her dead husband excessively, the dead husband comes back to comfort her. The results are not good.

Umm, obviously I don't remember the name.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Ooof. I have huge writer's block, made worse by trying to sort out chapter subjects that all seem to flow together.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I dunno, my mind went immediately to Hungry Like the Wolf and big hair bands.

Me, too, but that doesn't seem like a downside. I like Hungry As the Grave.
