Wake-Sleep-Wake
Sometime during those hours
when the moon is on the wane
sleep wake sleep wake sleep again
I lay awake, imprisoned by the here and now
by shadows moving in high corners
by even breathing beside me
by the weight of memory.
sleep
Your shadow beckoned: follow
I willed myself to flee, run, chase you into dream
into a place where the history that shackles me might
blur and soften
hone and sharpen
Open this coffin and let me breathe.
I run into dream, seeing you
young again
alive again
whole
wake
In the end, there is no way out;
then is now, and all my nights are prisons.
Gothamist mocks that Times column: [link]
Jesse, all I get from that link is a blank page with a couple of VW ads in the left column. Weird...
That is weird. If you can get to www.gawker.com, you should be able to scroll down and get to it that way.
(And of course I meant "gawker" not "gothamist" in my post above.)
Tried that, and I got the same blank white page, except this time, the VW ads were along the top.
Huh.
Deborah - you using Firefox? Cause I can get to that link fine.
I can see it fine from Safari. Firefox is screwing things up more and more lately. I was a happy camper when I realized that Safari also has tabbed browsing.
Works for me in IE (which usually sucks like a giant sucking thing).
Deborah.
You may want to upgrade to firefox at some point. In spite of all its problems Firefox works a lot better than basic netscape.
