Hee. Deb, that would be great!
The Great Write Way, Chapter Two: Twice upon a time...
A place for Buffistas to discuss, beta and otherwise deal and dish on their non-fan fiction projects.
Great idea, Deb!
Need to run that by Daymond when we talk today. Maybe a piece for Vibe, pitch it before we even get started?
Excellent, Deb! I think that would be worth the pitch-time.
Oh, I am finding the thought of you, ita and Juliana trolling the clubs for research so entertaining! If you need a free RA who's great at chatting people up and getting them to talk, give me a ring. It would be hours of fun! Dressing slutty for research!
(Dammit, I wish my water would boil already. NEED. TEA.)
I am finding the thought of you, ita and Juliana trolling the clubs for research so entertaining!
ita and I discussed wearing the same outfit - wifebeater, short plaid skirt, fishnets, and our knee-high lace-up boots. THAT's entertainment.
God, you're like Deb's Harakugu girls!
(I have that outfit. But you should have titles in Old English typeset on your beaters.)
The situation just went into the stratosphere.
Off the phone with Daymond and
1. He's flying me out to Vegas to trail around on the trade show floor during Magic. Fubu's picking up the tab.
2. We're arranging a meeting with his Hollywood guy, Mickey, during WorldCon (when I'll be down the road in Anaheim anyway), to discuss the pitch to the studios.
3. We're walking into Mimi Valdez's office at Vibe with the pitch for "Yo Mama Don't Dance", serial articles about this whole thing. Should be a slam dunk.
(deeeeeeeeeeeeeeep breath)
4. Arranging a sit-down with Montel to discuss, among other things, THE KINKAIDS. Meep. Meep.
5. Oh, and pitching Oprah. That too.
Also got off the phone with Daymond and my email lit up; my so-called publicist at SMP, saying that Book Passage (where I met Mr. Clinton, oh my!) has requested an event with me. So there's a nice local Cruel Sister signing in the works.
I knew you when! I knew you when!
I knew you when! I knew you when!
I knew you when! I got to give a burb for your first book!
