Rock, Deb!
'Just Rewards (2)'
The Great Write Way, Chapter Two: Twice upon a time...
A place for Buffistas to discuss, beta and otherwise deal and dish on their non-fan fiction projects.
I wish *I* knew something about hiphop, which, entre nous, are words I never though would come out of my mouth in this life without a burst of sardonic laughter. But a crash course is forthcoming, especially if Daymond is planning on flying me to clubs in other cities and hook me up with his VIP people, whoever and whatever they may be.
Fay, Nic's interview went beautifully. Now we wait, and hopefully not for long, or things will get edgy.
Deb, that is fan-FUCKING-tastic!! Still vibing for Nic, too.
Congratulations, Deb!!!
DaYUM, Deb, that's fucking fabulous! Good on you, chica!! I'm so jazzed for you!
(You guys should set up an eyes-only blog for the club trips. It would be SO fun & fascinating...and hey, you could use it later as DVD extras! Hee.)
Oh, dear, my little "I'm a teacher" red-light went off. I was gonna ping you and AmyLiz later this summer anyhoo for a possible "E-Interview with Real Live Naked Authors!!!!" thing for my senior class, but with you doing an urban-based book, too....I think I just had a little pedagogical orgasm. And before coffee, no less.
The real-world applications! Whee!
Erin, bebe, I love doing interviews, e or otherwise. I'm totally in. Just keep the timing in mind: last weekends of July and August, I'll be in LA (for the club thing) and Anaheim (for WorldCon), with possibly a slightly earlier trip to Vegas because Magic is right before WorldCon, and not only will Daymond be there, the first book is going to end with him meeting his Great Love for the first time at that particular trade show. So I ought to see it, I suppose.
That news is made of awesome, deb! I can't wait to read/see the stories!
Deb, wouldn't be till about October. My seniors will be reading an autobio, "Always Running," by a man who was heavy into the L.A. gangs of the 80's. Then they do their research papers. I wanted them to learn about different ways of writing, reasons, audience, styles, that kind of thing. Also, to just tie it in. And hey! I can offer extra credit if they read one of y'all's books and do a book report before the interview!
BWAHAHAHAHA! FEEL THE POWER OF EXTRA CREDIT! BWAAHAHA --- *cough*
Ok, evil laugh hurts.
I'm seriously considering keeping a blog/diary about this entire project, as a side article later, for publication.
Working title "Yo Mama Don't Dance". Homage to Loggins & Messina and my own history. Could be funny as shit.
Do it!!! DO IT!!!!
