Early: So is it still her room when it's empty? Does the room, the thing, have purpose? Or do we -- what's the word? Simon: I really can't help you. Early: The plan is to take your sister. Get the reward, which is substantial. 'Imbue.' That's the word.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

(blink)

Nah, Gus, we're totally cool. And I'm with Ginger; Baen has taken some chances. But it's going to make me nuts trying to remember who among my acquaintance is with Baen, damn it. Because you could get them to blurb for you.

Bag the crypto. Say what is on your mind.

Like I could get Bujold to come out with the "Go, Gus!"

I wish.

Baen's current list is like Asaro (ON TOPIC), Allson (not so much ontopic), and some people who are "with" some people ...

OK. I am getting sad.

Honey, they'll send it out for quotes to the authors on their list, first. If you need more blurbs, they'll expand the list. Plus, you know a few writers yourself; let your publisher know they can ping.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

"I don't know what this book is about, but it's FUCKIN' GREAT!" -- Deb G.

"Gus writes with a spare elegance that illuminates a topic that, all too often, is treated with heavy-handed jocularity at best or insensitivity at worst."

(what IS the book about, by the way? Besides men/women?)

And if a blurb from a non scifi writer would help, no problem. Tell them to send me a galley.

Now I kinda want to get blurbs from all the writers I know.

Not for a book or anything. Just for, you know, my cover letters. Or a tee-shirt.

This would sell retail out.

Border's employees would be like ...

"Deb G!!? That Rowling chick can bite me! Buy Gus or die!"

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Now I kinda want to get blurbs from all the writers I know.

"Erin's ass is a rich and heady experience: taut and supple throughout, with a subtle, haunting whiteness. She buffs it with a sure and steady hand in a breathtaking balancing act of deeply focused craft and natural artistry. A stunning debut."
