It may not make you rich, Gus, but you're in good company at Baen. For one, Baen accepted the first Lois McMaster Bujold book after multiple rejections. I'm looking forward to the book to be named later.
The Great Write Way, Chapter Two: Twice upon a time...
A place for Buffistas to discuss, beta and otherwise deal and dish on their non-fan fiction projects.
Me too.
So, that's two buyers right here.
I'm looking forward to the day when there is a buffista books section in all local bookshops.
Dang. I read that last entry of mine and I instantly regretted it. It could be construed to be minus-Deb.
NOT my intention! What a Sphincter of the Whole World am I?
(blink)
Nah, Gus, we're totally cool. And I'm with Ginger; Baen has taken some chances. But it's going to make me nuts trying to remember who among my acquaintance is with Baen, damn it. Because you could get them to blurb for you.
Like I could get Bujold to come out with the "Go, Gus!"
I wish.
Baen's current list is like Asaro (ON TOPIC), Allson (not so much ontopic), and some people who are "with" some people ...
OK. I am getting sad.
Like I could get Bujold to come out with the "Go, Gus!"
Honey, they'll send it out for quotes to the authors on their list, first. If you need more blurbs, they'll expand the list. Plus, you know a few writers yourself; let your publisher know they can ping.

Dude! Deb-Her-Own-Self-G will take a ping on this thing, sight unseen!
Cough UP the dollars!
"I don't know what this book is about, but it's FUCKIN' GREAT!" -- Deb G.
"Gus writes with a spare elegance that illuminates a topic that, all too often, is treated with heavy-handed jocularity at best or insensitivity at worst."
(what IS the book about, by the way? Besides men/women?)
And if a blurb from a non scifi writer would help, no problem. Tell them to send me a galley.
