Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

Behind the Door

The non-descript doors could be gateways to all that was bountiful or all that lived at the bottom of the abyss. She had worked and saved for this chance for years. Ever since she had heard of the possibility of getting her heart’s desire with just one choice, she had schemed and planned on a day-to-day basis just how she would get there. Now, her opportunity had arisen without even a knock on the door. But, if she made the wrong choice it could all be over. Paradise was just one step away, now.

“I’ll take door number three, Monty.”

Editted to get the gameshow host correct!

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Sail, I nearly choked. But one fix: the host was Monty Hall.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Hee, sail. The gameshow thing was actually something that came to mind when the subject was named, but you worded and presented it far better than I was considering.

Whoops. You're right, Deb. Senior moment, there. I'll change it right now.

Rumination on a First Cause

What is it with you and the doors at night?

Every man I've ever spent at least one night with has asked me that. Of course, there's an answer. If I was so inclined, I could have told everyone after the first, the cause, all about it. I am not so inclined.

The truth is, it's about safety, invisibility, keeping everyone and everything out, keeping us alone together. It kicks the universe to the curb - just the man, and me.

These days, the door stays open at night. He prefers that. Maybe it's one reason I don't sleep anymore.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I've got a spoily drabble.

Should I post it whitefonted or just not at all?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Spoily for what? That sounds like fanfic.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Spoily for Serenity.

I guess it is. There's been ficc-y drabbles posted here, before, though.

I only remember the fairy tale ones, but I'm getting old.

It's down to consensus, I guess. I have no opinion.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

If you post, please to whitefont. I don't get to see the movie till Monday.

I'm about to be the first of my online Regency group to post a sex scene for critique.

I don't wanna go first! These things are hard to write, I don't know if mine are any good at all, and, dangnabbit, why did I end up the guinea pig? It's not like I had them jumping into bed with each other in Chapter Two!
