Robin, see, I couldn't even remember his name right. And I have a humongous respect for the rules of screenwrting - you knew Nic and I did a teleplay for ST:TNG, right? They liked it, too, but they'd already gone another way with the history of Guinan's species. But anytime you want to read it, I'll send it along. There are Cole Porter songs.
connie, sorry - but it was his nickname for me, the only person who ever called me that, and I've never known anyone else called Bree. Nor would I let anyone ever call me that again. There was one person and one person only who had the right to use it.
There was a Bree Walker (I think it was Walker) who was a TV newscaster in Denver in the '80s (I think). She was perky and blonde and cute and hte only reason I could stand her was because she had crippled hands and she was their lead female anchor anyway, right in the middle of the big desk on the 6 o'clock news.
edit: There was a Bree in college, too. She did nothing to enhance my appreciation of the name.
Isn't Bree the name of Jane Fonda's character in Klute?

Not Robin, but I'd love to see this.
Have you seen her recently, Connie? She's been having the surgery.
Henceforth all "Brees" shall be Bree Godwin to me.
Heaven help them if they don't live up to it.
And, wow, great schmoop, Deb!!!
Well, I'm Bree-deficient, except that mine was a breakdown between my given name and "sugaree". Deb-or-ee. It became Bree for the better part of the year.
Anne, will dig up and let you read it. It's got Q in it. In a tiny little box....
I'd never really heard the name Bree either, except in one manuscript submission I received long ago, in which it was spelled like the cheese.
headdesk
But I like the name -- I named a character that once myself, long ago.
Oh, poor Bree Walker.
but how's that for a mental database retrieval, I haven't thought about her in 15 years.
