Kaylee: You're nice, too. Mal: No, I'm not. I'm a mean old man.

'Serenity'

Spike's Bitches 22: You've got Angel breath

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What is even happening?

You guys are all being sweet to me, and I appreciate it. I'll see how I feel about my hair once I've had a chance to play with it more.
I wasn't sweet. I went for snark-with-humor and I was ignored. Harumph. When I see photos of your hair, I shall call them "cute".

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I wasn't sweet. I went for snark-with-humor and I was ignored.

Ooops -- I didn't mean to -- I meant to be snarky back. Dang!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Did we decide on a Bitches 23 thread title yet?

23 is one of this conspiracy numbers isn't it?

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Bitches 23: Bugger This For A Bunch of Bananas

I don't know why - I just like saying Bugger This For A Bunch of Bananas.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I like assonance.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Ok by me.

Electromagnetic candy! - Stark

Bitches 23: Fnord

But then the whole thread would have to vanish.

Harrumph. Stupid conspiracy numbers.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

The Counterpane Fairy: [link]
I loves Deena soooo much. Thank you.
I meant to say, Cass, that The Counterpane Fairy has been out of print for some 60+ years -- my copy was one that my mother found at a rummage sale many years ago, and I have no idea how many (or, more likely, how few) other copies even exist any more.
I might have realized this once I googled but it might have taken longer than I care to admit. I don't mind looking through old books on the offchance I run across one though. Cause, you know, boooooooooooks...

OTOH, I am going to the U2 concert tonight and I haven't figured out that I should be excited yet, so I am slow today. I should also be showered. Grumble... I sense coffee in my future as I still believe that coffee = happy.

Anything with "bugger" in it makes me giggle. Favorite is still from billytea: Bugger me sideways with a fish fork. Though, not exactly work friendly. Or society friendly. Quite friendly with said fish fork though. Ima miss the turnover aren't I?

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Someone remind me that it would be a bad idea to murder a bride whose wedding I'm coordinating.
